Communication In New Zealand
The national New Zealand postal service is NZ
Post. They also feature acceptance of bill payments of various
types (in-person and online) via their BillPay
/ eBill service, and serve as bank branches for KiwiBank.
Local, long-distance, and mobile telephone service is provided
by Telecom.
In some areas, these services are also available from Saturn
and Clear.
Mobile phone service is also available from Vodafone.
Public telephones are owned by Telecom, and most are operated
with prepaid "smart" (chip) cards available from many
retail outlets. Some accept regular credit cards for payment.
Very few accept coins.
Look up telephone numbers at the White
Pages or Yellow
Pages directories, run by Telecom NZ.
